I apologize, Dave. I meant to answer your post several days ago, but plumb forgot about it. I have the longer of the two Shock-Eze. I just measured it, and it's set at the shortest position. It measures 32" long at that position. So you should be able to use either one, keep in mind that the longer one on the shortest position would have more strength than the shorter one extended to its longest setting. Actually, the only one that Bass Pro had when I bought it was this longer model. Here's a picture of where I mounted the bracket on the trailer.

Thank you. I will be going up to Savannah, Georgia this weekend and I plan on stopping at the Bass Pro Shop to see if I can pick up one. If I cannot get the longer one I will order it online. Thank you again for the advice.

Always liked Savannah.....used to fly choppers out of there, back in the 60s & 70s.
