I wanted to update all of you to shrimping in South Georgia (Saint Mary's). I have been going out with a great fishing/shrimping buddy and we are getting some good catches of shrimp. As the season continues and the weather gets colder the shrimp are bigger and somewhat difficult to find. The season runs from April to January and the choice of going fishing or shrimping gets more difficult. Speaking to several fishing friends, I know the Reds are doing well along with the shrimp. The last time we were out we netted over 30 pounds of shrimp. the only down side to this is the clean-up of my 195CC after a day of shrimping, (2-3 hours) to get it back to the condition I like to store it in.
