Another method to rig one in this manner

I also feel that inserting a small Bass Worm rattle helps in presentation and naturally, lather them up with some Pro Cure in Shrimp scent always helps. This not a combo that you can cover a lot of water with though and more of a extraction tool when you know they (Reds or Trout) are in the area or when pitching docks

Great Footage (link below) of how they fall and like the real ones, the more horizontal the better!

I even take some weight out of mine, cut off some and then reinstall it so they fall even slower thus, stay in the strike zone even longer when pitched under Docks and into the Mangroves
