Great looking product to help ensure you use your engine kill switch. Unlike most (mine included) they have a issue with getting wrapped around the helm when you have them on your wrist

With this one you put it around your ankle (much like a surfboard leash) so it stays out of the way while driving the boat

Got mine on order and should have some real time field testing to report back soon. As a old surfer though (back when we had 8 Track players ) I kick myself for not thinking about using this type of connection point sooner!

More than once with the present one while attached to my PFD around my waist, it would get caught on the speed knob on the helm (did not seem to matter if I was standing or not) and start to pull on it Not good when carving up a Mangrove creek at high speed for sure

So having this puppy on my ankle and in red as quick reminder to both install and find it! Should come in very handy...

Nobody else in my family, though the Duck Dog is learning... Would know what to do real quick IF I got ejected out of the Skiff in a hard turn So shutting her down just in time for me to land back on it, will come in real handy! LOL

Be safe and always wear yours even if it is just wrapped around your leg. Anything to shut every thing down if something happens to the Captain! Think of it as "Seat Belts" for your Boat

Got mine yesterday and just got the kill switch insert attached. Plenty of strap to reach your ankle, as well as enough of the top section to have the ignition switch key also attached all on the same unit.

Well made and quite heavy duty for taking it off and on your ankle many times! And unless you are color blind, you will really see it hanging on your seat or in my case, on the deck even in low light conditions

So far I give it a A+ in both design and function

Engine Kills Switches are now required by law and Mandatory Use in Florida (Your Sate or Country might be different) and here is more information / FAQ section on the USCG version of these devices:
