I had same issue with my hbird but I simply joined the wires together for autopilot and VHF to the gps data and it has worked perfectly.

Thanks I'm going to keep searching but I already ran across similar idea that each Garmin NMEA1083 output can support/feed multiple devices so that might be the way to go?

Yea I called mfg they told me it could support 5....made it easy then

All set and tested OK. Needed to ground the unit, I guess that is a DUH! I was successful in keeping the S1000 and VHF as separate NMEA connections.

Can't really test GPS connection but is says "GOING TOO SLOW" so I guess it knows I sitting in the yard not moving. Another DUH!
