Trailer bunk length

Probably going to sound silly but I just watched the triumph video after having the boat for a month. Yes I actually learned something, my boat is not rigged to the trailer correctly. My bunks do not extend past the transom as they seem to insist on and some of your pictures verify. Is anyone aware of any specifis concers I should have? Everything looks the same, granted it was like this when I bought it. How much bunk seem to stick out typically?

Mine stick out about an inch past the back of the transom. I think I saw somewhere that it is crucial for the last support between the trailer and the bunk to be really close vertically to the transom so the bunks can't warp which could let the bottom of the boat push up as well.
