Trailer Brake Requirements

Though I would not consider it 'The Gospel" since those regulations can change naturally. But attached is a quick little guide I found for those looking to know if the Feds or State require brakes for the BMT combo they are towing

And from what I see, generally, single axle and under 3000 lbs they are not required... Just be mindful of what your Tow Vehicle is designed for, and can handle WHEN both the braking components, suspension and the tires are in optimal condition
