Pamlico sound

Hello everybody,
Wanting to do some inshore fishing on the Pamlico sound. Looking for bluefish, flounder, sheepshead, or anything else that will bite. What are some good methods to try? I was stationed in Hatteras Inlet with the Coast Guard, but I didn't have a boat for most of that time. I did most of my fishing from the shore. Have my little 170 dual console now. Is it possible to do some trolling with the 170? Any advic would be greatly appreciated.
