At the end of last season I purchased the new 215 CC and I was curious if anyone in the area goes off shore fishing and how far they might take their Triumph. I am docked in Normandy Beach off the Barneget Bay. Any info on safe traveling distance or good fishing grounds off shore would be greatly appreciated.

Canyons....

I live in Lewes, DE and regularly take my boat to the Washington Canyon from Wachapreague, VA (51 NM out to the tip) and the Poorman's Canyon from Ocean City, MD(53 NM to the tip). I have added a new prop, two 6 gallon racing fuel cans, and a great pump system to get me out further this year (70 +/- miles has been my max to date). I will try the Baltimore from Indian River, DE once the yellowfin and white marlin get there.

These adventures have been building over about 4 years..... do not try this unless you are prepared.... fuel, sat signal device, offshore life jackets, life raft (is optional until you need it.... I need to get one), ditchbag, and buddy boat.

There have been some bumpy rides back to the barn.... so I am preparing a gameplan for a bigger boat, but for now this one is paid-off.

The attached pic was taken between the Poorman's and the Washington. My daughter was tossing a little yellowfin back to grow. She and my wife caught their first legal yellowfins at the same time about 10 minutes later.
