Fuel tank level for winter storage

I have a 17cc with a 60hp Yamaha and am about to winterize it.
I have heard varying opinions on how much fuel to leave in the tank for the winter - from full to less than 1/4 tank.
Can anyone offer some advice?

From what I understand is that it is best to keep it full. Then there is no chance of water condensation.

I agree with dakineyj's advice. Keep it topped off to prevent condensation build-up. If you're keeping it parked for a period of time, I'd add some Sta-bil to it as well.

Full fuel storage or not

I was at my dealer's this weekend picking up my boat after having it winterized. They stated that the current thought is to not fill the tank full. The reason is that if gas is bad then less bad gas to run through to get fresh gas. They did put in a gas stabilizer to the tank as part of the winterization package.

I have heard that from a dealer in my area as well - the less gas the better. He had mentioned that with all the additives in the fuel here in the northeast, the gas will "stratify" over long periods; no concerns over condensation in the tank. Don't know if there is any truth to it.
