SHORT VERSION................. nothing caught for an 11 hour day on the water.
long version,... had a great time, went to the cornado islands, and kelp beds in that area, fished all around north , south and middle islands. A few bites, but no hook ups. We were hoping to catch some spring yellowtails, as they were biting during the middle of the week. but no love. Saw another vessel pulling a capsized ponga, no isdea if just happened, or they were trying to salvage. As we came back into port, customs pulled us over with thier massive 6 engine boat. They were polite, but have heard of some bad attitude officer's. They were real interested in the ponga, as they asked if we were at the north island and seen the so called ponga. Of course we told them all we knew. OH and my new bait pump was acting up, never been used, of course i took it off, found kelp in there, but it was not the same since. it was weak after that. I SWEAR those thing are so senitive. Thank goodness for 3 year warrenty.
