Crabbing has been very good this year but at some point the crabs head south. Since fall fishing has not taken off yet went out for one more trip for crabs.
Cold front came through and it was a brisk and water blowing out of the river. Started slow and thought they might have left for the winter. Crabs picked up and finish with packed bushel of large crabs.
Used 27 topless traps baited with chicken necks Crabbed from 10:00 am until 2:15 pm in 8-10 feel of water.
