I would just make sure your phone has the silcone shock cover that goes around the case and I also have the screen film on mine.
Saves on having to upgrade my electronics since the phone is light years ahead of my old Garmin 172c and now I can drive over locations and have Google Earth image or Weather radar now on the console while the 172C is showing the moving Marine chart.
