So Cal fish report 5-1-10

ALL was rough on Sat morning. 6 foot swells seemed to be the average, with a few big ones in the mix. It was a bit rough even for me, I am surprized that they lifted the small craft warning. Any who, there was radio chatter from the cornardo islands, and lajolla for yellowtail. Not a lot, but a few were catching them. also there was radio chatter of a few thresher sharks being caught and released. As for us a big ZERO. Not for the lack of trying. We set out for the sharks, had a great chum line going, mixed with lots of blood from the local asian market. But no one came by to play. I think because of the cold water temps, not counting the thresher sharks whom seem to like this temp of 58 - 60 degrees.

I thought about going out but did not trust the forecasted report.

At least you weren't sitting at home wishing you were fishing. Congrats on getting out even though the fishing wasn't great.
