Good online retailers for Garmin 440s

None of my local shops have these, or similar units, in stock. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've found several sites but have no knowledge or experience with them.

Also any recommendations for a transducer?

Any online tutorials or other instructions on running the cable, etc?

Sorry for all the newb questions, but what do you expect from a newb...

Try the GPS Store.com. They are located in NC.I bought 2 units from them over the years and they have good service.

Hi Mike,

Can't help you with the 440, I have an older Garmin. But if you expand your search through google, you'll be able to tap into all the other boating forums and find feedback on that model. That's how I found out how to fix the depth finder setting on my unit; I thought it was broke, and found a post someone had made about the autorange function.

As far as install info, that varies depending on which boat you have. I got all the info I needed in these forums by using the search for my 215: from where the best spot to mount the transducer was to how to remove the back deck and look for the string Triumph left in there for me to tie to the cable and pull through a plastic conduit.
